The P7R from LED Lenser is remarkeable. It is lightweight yet strong and the power of the beam is phenomenal, exceeding many comparable brand products that cost more. The P7R is a perfect tool for my work as a bird watching guide. It is powerful enough to use a red filter and has the convenience of 3 power settings and rechargeable with mains power or USB.
I have been using Led Lenser torches for many years and wouldn’t consider any other brand. When I lost my P14 recently in the Northern Territory it was a no brainer to buy another. ( I hope whoever found my P14 gets many more years of use out of it.) I was attracted by the P7R because it has 3 different power settings, it is more powerful than the P14 and it is rechargeable. As a birding guide I use a red filter for spotlighting and the extra power makes the filter more effective whilst the 3 power settings allow me to spot birds with white light without overwhelming them. I find it convenient to have a rechargeable torch especially as it has a USB connection. I travel on planes a lot so now I don’t have to worry about carrying extra batteries. It is compact, sturdy and light. It is perfect for me.

Ordered the new P7R after i broke my orignal P7 accidently after 8 years dependable use,I didnt think they could improve much on the orignal P7 but of course they have,Rechargeable battery and magnetic charger are simply brilliant,i work fulltime nightshift and i would be lost without this torch,ive tried other cheaper brands but they simply dont last,do yourself a favour and try the new P7R,simply reliable,dependable and a massive bright white beam,1000 real lumens not bodgy claims.

I recently purchased the P7R for a hunting camping trip. The torch is super bright and the adjustable focus is handy when wanting to use the torch as a spot light or wide beam went walking back to the Ute. I highly recommend this product

P7R game changer
Out in the bush with my P5 led lenser and a P7QC, and got thinking I might look at the P7R, well as usual a great torch, awesome light output, adjustable beam and easily to charge without having to remove the battery pack. If I had one complaint about the P7R, is that it makes my P5 seem like it’s a kids toy. Since I purchased the P7R, my neighbour has also purchased one.

Amazing bit of kit!
Purchased this to replace my torch of 8 years a Wolfeyes Snipper II.. The wolfeyes was an amazing torch but the P7R leaves this behind. This torch has become the talking point of the office with everyone that sees commenting on how bright it is. If I was to use this on the coast I could be mistaken for a lighthouse. Don’t consider buying it just do it you will not regret it.
