The torch is a great little EDC. It does everything I need and more with three white light settings at the twist of a dial, plus an RGB and RB programmable setting as well as a programmable Strobe/SOS/Beacon. I have only given it a 4 star rating though, as I found that the RGB lights throw an odd pattern, which to me is a bit of a design fail. For my purpose it does the job that I need. I use the red or green light at night so as not to disturb my family when they’re asleep and turning on house lights is not an option.
You can use other batteries as stated in the info panel, but be aware, if you plan on running a standard CR123A then you will only have access to the low light setting in the white light. I have also had an issue that is currently being looked into by James and the crew with the use of the recommended Eagletac battery. I don’t see this as a fault with this torch. My torch, perhaps, but most likely a dodgy battery. It happens. The torch comes complete with a pair of extension tubes, and there is no need to buy these as extra accessories. I didn’t realise this, so I have some spares. I am considering the purchase of the same torch for others in my family, but I might also go with different ones just to see what they’re like too.
