Great upgrade. Light changed from a centred yellow light (which was still good in it’s day) to a bright white light with excellent peripheral coverage. Money well spent.

I put my 3d cell torch in back drawer as it was being replaced by onset of LED bulbs which were much brighter and more compact. I came across the Maglight upgrade and ordered one. On receiving and fitting the LED bulb wow! the mag lite has a new lease of life, very successfull and simple to fit.

I recently upgraded my 30+ y.o 3D Maglite to a LED globe.
Simply put, it was like turning night into day and imo it was money very well spent. It turned my old torch into a modern, highly useful item with a brilliant beam of light.
I would highly recommend that anyone who has an old Maglite considers the upgrade.

This replacement LED bulb has transformed my 3 ‘D’ Cell Maglite from what was a good torch, to now an excellent torch. The bright white illumination focuses from a narrow beam to a wide beam whilst maintaining the brightness. I now don’t have to consider replacing an elderly Maglite.
