Quality headlamp
I purchased for my bug out bag because it has rechargeable batteries installed but can be removed to use 4xAA if you want. I can carry the spare batteries in my bag as backup
The batteries are in the rear and not in the lamp so the headset is balanced well and has the crown strap for good support and no sagging on your head.
Easy to use flood lamp and spot lamp with different buttons

I am very pleased with my purchase of the Fenix HP16R. I bought it because I wanted a work light that would help to light up mortises as I chiselled them in my wood-working workshop. However, I find that I am using it in the workshop for far more than I expected. It helps me to overcome the otherwise inescapable uneven lighting so that I can see lines more clearly for sawing, chiselling and planing without having to continually reposition a torch or other work light to see what I am doing. The floodlight is clear and even and the spotlight function can help to focus more directly on fine work when needed. It is comfortable to wear to the point that I almost forget that I am wearing it. I have tested it out in the yard at night, in the roof cavity and under the floor and I find it gives me the best light that I have ever known in those circumstances.
